Mathematics with the Integration of Technology
M. C. Williams Middle School was recently awarded $232,000 through the
Algebra Readiness Grant. This program will involve the implementation of a
mathematics curriculum through a balance of textbook usage and technology.
The grant provides each student with a laptop computer to use along with
student texts to solve math problems. Our Algebra I class involves the same
structure. The advanced curriculum assists in the development and enhancement
of the students’ critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Qualified
Magnet students are enrolled in Algebra I and, after successful completion of
the course, receive one high-school credit.
